DOT 3 vs DOT 4 Brake Fluid: What Buyers Should Know

DOT 3 and DOT 4 are both glycol ether based hydraulic fluids, but they are not interchangeable in every system.
Boiling points DOT 4 has a higher dry boiling point and wet boiling point than DOT 3, which matters for vehicles with heavier braking duty.
Water absorption Both fluids are hygroscopic. Sealed packaging and fast stock rotation protect performance, so we pack in moisture-barrier bottles with induction seals.
Sourcing checklist - Confirm the standard required in your market (FMVSS No.116, ISO 4925). - Ask for batch test certificates with each shipment. - Match pack sizes to your channel: 250ml and 500ml for retail, 20L and 200L for workshops.
